If you have previous education, training, or
experience, you may request transfer of credit to Kaplan College.
Although we cannot guarantee the transferability of credit from any of
these sources, we will consider:
- Credit earned through the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
- Military training and experience (experiential learning)
- Transfer credit from accredited postsecondary institutions
- Various certification exams
To apply for credit or if you are using veterans benefits to attend
Kaplan College, you must complete the Credit for Previous Education,
Training, Work Experience (Experiential Learning), or CLEP form and
submit official transcripts, course descriptions, and other supporting
documentation prior to the first day of the course. If credit is
granted, we will shorten the duration of the course proportionately and
notify you (and the Veterans Administration, if applicable) accordingly.
Transfer of Credit Between Kaplan Higher
Education Institutions
Course credit may be transferred from any Kaplan Higher Education
institution upon your acceptance to the receiving Kaplan Higher
Education institution. Transfer of credit will be based on:
- Courses for which you have attained a grade of "C" or better
- Course descriptions, objectives, or outcomes
- Core/major courses that apply to the program
- Conversions from quarter to semester credit systems, or vice versa,
that follow common practices for academic credit conversions
If you are transferring from another Kaplan Higher Education
institution, you must complete a minimum of 25 percent of the course
credit at the Kaplan Higher Education institution from which you will
graduate.

us.
